 Australian Paediatric Palliative Care Conference 2022 - Registration privacy, terms and conditions

Australia introduced the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 in 2001. PCA and PAPCaNZ comply with the legislation, which is designed to protect the right of the individual to privacy of their information. Information collected in respect of proposed participation in any aspect of PCA events will only be used for the purposes of planning and conducting the event. To have the full Australian Paediatric Palliative Care Conference (APPCC) experience, your email address will be provided to the platform provider for the explicit use of accessing APPCC content. Paediatric Palliative Care Conference content on the platform will be available for three months post event. It is also usual to produce a Delegate List of attendees for each event. Your name and contact details will only be used as follows:

  • For notification of APPCC related news as well as information regarding future PCA or PAPCaNZ events. 
  • For marketing purposes by event related sponsors and exhibitors.

All registered delegates are asked to submit a short bio and a photo to encourage networking and connection at the event. This information can only be viewed by other registered delegates on the platform. PCA / PAPCaNZ may cancel/terminate a registration if a delegates behaviour is deemed inappropriate. 

PCA and PaPCANZ will not be held liable, nor will a refund be optional if delegates, or speakers are unable to access, connect, or have difficulty with an internet connection, sound or visuals when participating in APPCC. PCA and PaPCANZ will provide information on how to access the digital platform, however, delegates are responsible for accessing the Conference using their own internet service provider and IT infrastructure. Delegates further acknowledge that PCA / PAPCaNZ is not required to provide IT support services in association with the Conference. 

 Any cancellations must be notified, in writing, to the events team at PCA events@palliativecare.org.au  

  • Cancellations received in writing on or before 1 October 2022 will incur a $50 admin fee. 
  • Cancellations received in writing after 2 October 2022 will not be refunded.
  • Note: substitutes are welcome. If you are unable to attend but wish to transfer your place to someone else, PCA must be advised by 30 September 2022.
